It'll Work was recorded at various locations between 2000 and 2003 and was never intended for release. When the master tapes were discovered after having been forgotten, Thirsting Quench provided heavy amounts of post-recording production and manipulation, turning The Lost Tapes into the most easily accessible/digestible Kamikaze work to-date at the time of its release in late 2003.

The original album included a live 2000 performance of Mark Mothersbaugh's story, "Don Santa Grants Rudolph His Wish," set to music. Due to copyright issues we cannot include this track here.
