about

Remastered 10th Anniversary Edition.

In 2004, following the recording of Effempty, Dr. Kamikaze and the T. Quench figured they had accomplished pretty much everything they'd hoped to in the $35 Sound duo/direct-to-tape recording process. A more advanced recording procedure was outlined along with more structured improvisational material before DR. KAMIKAZE AND THE COMPLETE AUDIO DESTRUCT brought in The Literacy Program drummer, David Jensen to complete the new lineup.

Recorded during the first snowstorm of the season, Judgment integrates percussion as a permanent fixture to the orchestrated soundscapes of Thirsting Quench with the chaotic elements expected from Dr. Kamikaze. Includes the C.A.D. live version of "fickle is where the heart is…" from the ep of the same name, in an edited and overdubbed format.

"fickle..." was composed over the 2003 Dr. Kamikaze Midwest Winter Tour where various musical elements and structures were experimented with while spontaneously incorporated into set-long improvisations (which can be heard on the live album, Stressor or Undress Her: Fickle is Where the Heart is...). The finalized version heard here is the result of distilling those elements.

This is the first in a set of reissues of recently recovered Dr. Kamikaze recordings.
